Julia McKinnon was convinced she’d found the one – the man of her dreams, the most seductive, experienced lover she’d ever known – and the night they’d spent together in New York was the stuff erotic fantasies were spun from. But with the dawn of a new day came only heartache and betrayal, and her dreams were snuffed out like so much fairy dust. Nathan Atwood felt like the lowest sort of life form after seducing the incredibly beautiful girl he met in New York, only to break her tender heart with the confession that he was already involved with someone else. Leaving Julia was the hardest thing he’d ever done, and the memory of their passionate night together haunted his dreams for months afterwards. Now fate has brought them together again, and they are forced to work alongside each other. Will Julia be able to put aside the feelings she still has for her handsome boss and forge a new life for herself in San Francisco? And how long will Nathan be able to resist the gorgeous woman he’s never really stopped thinking about or wanting?

After reading the second book in this series (Splendor) and loving it so, of course I then had to go back and read the first book. Good news is that they are both standalones, so reading them out of order was no big deal at all. Even better news is that book one (Serendipity) is every bit as good as Splendor, and I’m so glad I discovered this series. Good news is that they are both standalones, so reading them out of order was no big deal at all. Even better news is that book one (Serendipity) is every bit as good as Splendor, and I’m so glad I discovered this series. Some people will automatically dismiss Serendipity because there is – gasp! – some cheating involved, since the hero (Nathan) is engaged to someone else when he first meets and falls in instant lust/love with the heroine (Julia) and they have a very steamy one-night stand. I know there are some real fine lines when it comes to cheaters, but for me, at least, in this book it wasn’t that huge of a deal. When a wife and kids are involved, then it’s a different story but that wasn’t the case here, especially when we meet the fiancée and she turns out to be a raging, uber-controlling b*tch. Not only that, Nathan was torn up about what he’d done throughout the entire story and much of the book deals with how he copes with the guilt and struggles to fight off his growing attraction to Julia. So he’s not some sort of douchebag manwhore who just randomly cheats on his fiancée with the first woman he meets, it’s more a matter of meeting Julia at the wrong time in his life but knowing deep down that they were meant to be together. The title of Serendipity refers to how Nathan and Julia keep running into each other at random locations around New York City until the night they finally hook up. They part ways for several months until as fate – or in this case, serendipity – would have it the two of them wind up working in the same office when Julia relocates to San Francisco (not knowing he lives there). Over the next months they both fight their attraction to each other, particularly Nathan who is determined not to be an asshole again and wants to do the right thing by his fiancée. In the end, though, the idea of losing Julia to another man is all he can think about and they eventually wind up together. But hell hath no fury like a woman scorned and we haven’t seen the last by far of the jilted fiancée! The character development and dialog in this book is just tremendous, to the point where you feel like you know these people and get a glimpse into their daily lives. There are a number of supporting characters, mostly family and co-workers, and their involvement in the story is just enough to add some variety without us having to learn far too much about their lives in the process. I especially adored Julia’s boss Travis and his flamboyant partner Anton, as well as Julia’s ballsy twin sister Lauren (she MUST have her own book soon!) We also meet the charming Ian Gregson (love that name!) for the first time and get some hints about what’s lined up for him in book two. I always love me a great HEA and this book definitely delivered. Like Splendor, this one is a long book, too, you certainly get your money’s worth but I’m one who really enjoys reading the details and loving how a scene builds and builds. The writing is top notch, so well done in so many ways, which is sadly a rare find these days with so many self-published but not always well-written books. Staying tuned eagerly for what’s coming next in this series and from this writer.

Wow. I was beginning to give up hope that I'd ever find a book like this one. I've read a lot of just so-so stuff lately and found myself really disappointed in several books, but definitely not this one. I found out about this little-known book kind of by accident on a blog I follow from time to time. I liked a lot of the things the author mentioned in her interview on the blog and thought I might as well try my luck. It was one of the best decisions I've made in recent months because this book is just so good that you - 1) can't put it down, 2) don't want it to end and 3) wishing (for once) that this was a three-part book like so many others are these days because you just want to keep reading about these characters. The basic plot - Julia and Nathan meet by chance in New York and are wildly attracted to the other. They have a really hot night together (the seduction scene in the hotel room is amazing!) but he has to fess up the next day that he has a fiancee waiting for him back home. I know the haters of cheating will come out in full force but honestly the situation is handled in a way that will make you feel for him and understand his actions, especially after the way he beats himself up over what he did throughout the book. Never expecting to see each other again, both of them are shocked when Julia winds up working for the company that Nathan owns in San Francisco a few months later. What follows is their attempt to keep things professional while still fighting off their attraction to the other. Nathan in particular has to deal with wanting to do the right thing and honoring his commitments, but at the same time still wanting the girl he knew in New York and not wanting anyone else to have her. There are great supporting characters in this book who are a vital part of the story without the story being about them. We are already getting hints of the storylines for several future characters - Angela, Tessa, and Julia's larger than life twin Lauren (who is my favorite character, by the way). But what I appreciate is that their stories are only hinted at and don't become a side plot to the current book, which unfortunately a lot of authors seems to be doing lately, especially if they are trying to stretch their plot out to three books. What I love about this book is the detail and care the author takes with describing things to us, things that often get overlooked or glossed over in other books. We get to see in detail what everyone looks like, what they wear, what they eat, etc. It's written in third person, which is a real relief after reading way too many books lately in first person, especially where the hero or heroine has a bunch of "stuff" going on in their lives and the reader gets wrung out dealing with all of their traumas. The other good thing about books in third person is that you get to see the story from a variety of viewpoints, not necessarily just the hero's and heroine's. I wish more authors would go back to this point of view - in my opinion it just makes for a better overall book. And, oh yes, this author can actually WRITE! I'm in awe that this is her first book because it is so well written and realistic. It's so much better than a lot of the stuff out there now that reads like a pre-teen's diary. The dialog is smart and sharp, the situations the characters find themselves in not so unbelievable that you find yourself shaking your head, and no stupidity or pointless back and forth arguing. What keeps the hero and heroine apart for most of the book isn't some silly, blow-out-of-proportion argument or misunderstanding or some ridiculous set of circumstances or their own crazy emotional messed-up state of mind. And for fans of steamy hot erotic romance, this book also has plenty of that. The sex scenes are written with as much care and detail as the rest of the book and Nathan is one of my favorite "dirty-talkers". Overall, this is definitely one of the best books I've read in a really long time and I was sorry to see it end (unlike several other books lately where I literally had to force myself to finish it). I would give it my highest recommendation and I'm not always easy to impress. Can't wait to see what this author brings us next.

This is my first book from Janet and I was surprised by her writing style: it was honest, simple, amazingly hot and funny. I have to admit that I was attracted to the book because of its title and felt the need to meet this heroes upfront. Julia and Nathan are total strangers, but end up having a steamy one night stand. Their attraction is instant and although my feelings toward this kind of chemistry are not totally positive, their relationship was genuine and the moments they shared truly made me believe in their connection. Julia was my type of heroine. She was smart, gorgeous, admired by every women out there because of her looks and smart attitude. She was also fierce and the intensity of her feelings made me admire her. She is not an one night stand girl, but due to her chemistry with Nathan, she took the chance and ended up falling in love with him. She was like "what you see is what you get" and didn't hide anything. She completely gave herself to him, and although she was aware of not seeing him again, didn't have any doubt of being with him. Nathan on the other hand, had something to hide. When meeting Julia, he was engaged to be married and confessed this after their night together.. I've read a lot of negative reviews regarding the cheating aspect, but I think they are wrong. First, Nathan was genuine attracted to Julia and loved her from the minute he saw her. Second, his engagement was purely official, without having deep feelings regarding his fiance. He respected her and wanted to do the right thing, but the love he felt for her was not comparable to his feelings towards Julia. Third, he struggled with this situation and tried to keep his distance from Julia. He pretended to be happy with his fiance, tried to make things work, but in the end he couldn't. He just kept on interacting with her, discovering not only what a beautiful person she is on the outside, but on the inside as well. So, pointing to this things, he was not a miserable and pathetic cheater, he only made mistakes and tried desperately to correct them, but fate had other plans for this couple. I loved this book and even with this minor element that a lot of people dislike, I enjoyed the characters, the plot that was dynamic and consistent and please don't forget the serious amount of hot scenes that were delightful. 5 stars:D

I’m not a huge fan of cheater romances nor am I an avid reader of ‘forbidden romance’ reads either. Both aren’t usually my cup of tea. I was searching for an Angst-Erotica read when I found ‘Serendipity’ while scrolling through various Listopia lists. And in my random mood to try something different,I thought I'd this one a go,since there was no wife or kids involved. And I defiantly don’t regret it. :) Was meeting again an unfortunate twist of fate? Or was it just serendipity? My thought’s on the plot: To be honest,Initially I was completely surprised and unprepared for the emotional angst that came in spades with this book.Yes there is cheating involved..but that’s basically what the plot is all about. Serendipity deals with Nathan, the hero’s reluctance to throw a 6 year relationship with his girlfriend,Cameron, down the drain just because he can't seem to get Julia, his princess..his last one night stand, outta of his mind. Through out the book we watch both Julia & Nathan struggle with their emotions of anger, guilt & jealousy…while fighting off their growing attraction to each other. Especially Julia,I can't image how hard it would be to fall in love with the love of your life who just won't break things off with his girlfriend even though he's always been unhappy in his relationship. “I’m not okay, don’t you get it? I don’t mean physically – I already told you that. But this is wrecking me emotionally, Nathan. It’s why I have to...not see you anymore. It breaks my heart every single day to see you and want you so much but know you belong to someone else.” Sympathizing with Nathan was defiantly not hard after getting in his head a few chapter's in...Man,he defiantly has a way with words...His unhappiness in his engagement, his sadness, his guilt, his longing for Julia all touch you through the pages, slowly softening your heart until you end up rooting for him in the end.. "I'm aware of what a selfish asshole I am,Julia.I cant offer you anything myself, and yet I don't want anyone else to have you either." The writing was beautiful, the secondary characters were great…And damn !This book was hot ! Like capital H.O.T ! “Your would-be lover might crave everything I just had,” he told her quietly."But he’s going to know that I was there first. He’s going to smell my scent all over your body, see where I left my mark on your skin, and hear my name on your lips. And if he still dares to fuck you, he’ll feel my cum deep inside you.” Yep,I told ya ! And that's only a paragraph from a page ;) Would I recommend the read ? Defiantly ! To all my lovely, lovely friends who love their angsty forbidden love reads served 'Hot & Spicy'..This one’s defiantly for you guys ;) Warning:THIS BOOK CONTAINS INSTA-LOVE & CHEATING.

Got this book in a raffle, didn't read for awhile because I'd never heard of the author but this is one of the best books I've read in a long time. Really really good writing, very emotional and real, dialog that doesn't sound stupid. Will definitely read more by this writer.

The H lets his fiancé dictate their relationship at every turn. She decides who they spend time with, where they go, and what they do. She even leads their sex life. There's no mention that he actually loves her even when asked directly. They basically got engaged because all his friends/family were settling down. The H refuses to end their engagement while still lusting after h even while going into jealous rages anytime he thinks h is flirting with or having sex with someone else. The H and h finally get together again while fiancé is away on a girl's weekend and profess their love for each which I had trouble believing. I definitely believe they lusted after one another since the following 10-11 chapters were of them going at it like rabbits. There's quite a bit of dirty talk although some of it sounded like it came from a very bad porn flick and cheesy. Even though the fiancé was a whiny witch at times I still felt some sympathy for her. We get views into her thoughts from her POV and she is desperately insecure due to being picked on growing up. She was an unattractive and awkward teenager who tries to correct her bad body image with plastic surgery. She is desperate for love after 2 failed engagements. After coming home from her girl's weekend she is blind sided by the H breaking off the engagement and admitting he's been cheating. This sends the fiancé over the edge and results in her stalking the couple, attacking the h, and ultimately results in her death. Overall I wasn't impressed with the H or the h. He was a sleazy cheater and she was a walking doormat. I wasn't impressed with sentence after sentence of what designer each character wore and I definitely wasn't impressed with all the time spent lamenting the h's breasts. It got down right ridiculous how much time was spent talking about her boobs.

Without even knowing each other's real name, they gave in to their passion, that night was one very memorable night neither one would soon forget. The sexual times between Nathan and Julia were intensely hot, very descriptive and erotic. Nathan can talk dirty with the best of them and ooh la la was it panty-dropping sexy! Her characters, all of them, were well-developed and multi-faceted, with individual personalities so defined you'll think you've actually met them. For instance, Cameron, Nathan's fiancée was as Travis says, an evil b***h in many ways, but yet you were also shown her insecure, desperate and vulnerable sides. Nathan himself was sexy as hell, loyal and loving to his family, and did his very best to be honorable to a woman who has given him two years of her life even though he didn't love her, wasn't the one to ask her to marry, and became engaged for very weak reasons. And yeah, he was a cheat. And at times a real jerk. But he was also walloped over the head with a love at first sight, that only grew no matter how desperately he fought it. It's noted numerous times that Julia is a stunning, jaw-dropping beauty who turns the heads of every man who sees her. That she has style, grace, elegance, and embodies nearly every man's ideal for a wet dream. But she is also kind, talented in her field, thoughtful of others, and able to ignore the reactions she gets from men rather than use them to her advantage. She falls hard for Nathan when she meets him in New York and is devastated when he tells her he has not been honest with her about his situation and that he is, in fact, recently engaged. This is not a simple story told with a short span of time. It reaches over more than a year as the undeniable feelings Nathan and Julia have for one another develop despite their best efforts to fight them. It is not a simple story of lust that was given into. It is a complex story of soul-mates who find each other not only once, but twice in a serendipitous way. What's simple to see is that they were meant to be together. What's delightful to read is this story of how they get there. It kept me turning the pages, a bit aroused, and completely captivated from start to finish. I rate this book with five stars and can't wait to read the next installment in this series. I'm hoping it will be Julia's twin sister Lauren's or maybe Ian Gregson's. It's always great to see a confirmed playboy bachelor fall hard!

I loved that this book made me FEEL what the characters were feeling, that it was easy to step into their shoes, the jealousy, the love the heart break, not to mention all of those deliciously steamy hot, hot, hot sex scenes made for a roller coaster of a ride for the reader. So many times when reading a book I feel like the author rushes through something to get to the good parts, this book was definitely an exception to that rule. The build up of the relationship between Julian and Nathan was intense, and although you had to question Nathan’s sanity it was realistic. The culmination of the situation between Julia and Nathan and Nathan and Cameron was fascinating and a little heart breaking. Cameron has to be one of the best villains I’ve come across in awhile, not because she was super evil but because she was super selfish. Please, for the love of God, can someone send me some whatever it is that gets Julia and Nathan’s libido going? I’m pretty sure I thought my e-reader was going to melt when I was reading a couple of times. For a debut book I have to say that Janet Nissenson got it RIGHT on the very first try! This book was amazingly well written, I’d have never guessed that this was her first or even 5th book. I’m looking forward to reading what she writes next.

I have to say that I loved the synopsis as soon as I read it and i was very excited to read it. I also have to admit that I was little intimidated by the length of the book. Unfortunately, I haven’t been very lucky with contemporary romance novels this long. However, Serendipity is amazing! The storyline was slow and it gave us the opportunity to get to know our 2 main characters, to love them in the process. It also gave us the opportunity to get settled in the Inevitable environment! It felt like a movie without any deleted scenes. It felt like we had the entire story in front of us, without missing anything. Serendipity is everything. Julia is sort of the perfect person. So hot that men stop and stare at her. So intelligent that she has won Awards at her young age. So sweet that everyone loves her. So loved since she has the perfect childhood and family. So damn lucky for having an aunt sending her extravagant gifts. She is the perfect person. Characters so close to perfection usually irritate me, but not this time. Julia is so sweet that you can’t not adore her. She has this way of making you love her. Of course, she had some not-so-decent moments, as Nathan was still engaged. However, the way she speaks, the way she feels; you can’t just blame her. You love her and accept her mistakes. Nathan is pretty dense for such a smart guy. I guess, that’s with men. His lack of concentration around Julia is absolutely amusing and I laughed at his expressions, reactions and his series of curses, which happened some times. However, when he finally made the right decision, his unyielding affection kind of surprised me. We had seen him fight his feelings and reactions, but when he let it go, it was like any control he ever had slipped away. He was Julia’s man, who loved and cherished her, pleased her, made her laugh. He was just that. Julia’s man. It was a remarkable change! Don’t get me started on Cameron. Just. not. Janet Nissenson is an amazing writer. Serendipity is the first book I’ve read and the “I’m impressed” and “I loved your book” are ludicrous understatements. This book is long, but it’s complete. It completes you in a spectacular and unique way. You never get border, as it is never dull. You are always in a ‘Ohh I love this” state while reading the book. Writing a romance novel this long with no really adventurous and mysterious or paranormal elements is what distinguishes this author from any other. Janet is the first who has accomplished this, as far as what I’ve read so far from other authors. She is truly special and I can’t wait to read more of her work! So, Serendipity gains 10 Absolutely Amazing Sparkling Stars!!

The chances of bumping into a complete stranger three times in a row in a city neither of you live when you are only there for a week is slim to none. The power of serendipity is at hand and Nathan and Julia defiantly take advantage of this happy accident. The chemistry of these characters is electric. The pull they have towards each other is something neither can deny. One look is all it took to show the connection, attraction and lust between them. After meeting by chance for the third time they both decide to take a chance and end up having the best night of both of their lives. Only kink in this chain is the next morning when Nathan admits that he is a newly engaged man saying that the night they spent together was a mistake, which ends up breaking Julia’s heart. Months pass but fate won’t be denied as it puts them right in each other’s paths again. Julia gets a job working for Nathan’s design company. Nathan thinks that Julia has stalked him and is going to confront his fiancé. This makes me laugh as how would either of them found each other – no last names were given – after believing that Julia is there by a simple twist of fate they decide to act as though nothing has happened between them and try and keep their distance. This time around is harder than the last as they try to stay away from each other. Only problem is that neither of them really wants to. The heat and passion between them is hotter than before. Only time will tell how their story will play out. Even though he is engaged – to a vile woman I might add – you are always routing for them to get together. Strong characters, great storyline, romance and erotic scenes off the chart make this a great read. The other characters within the story are just as compelling. Its gearing you up to want to read theirs next. This is a stand-alone book though – no cliffhanger which is great. Would definitely recommend this book and I am definitely going to check out the rest in this series too. I received this book from Net Gallery (https://www.netgalley.com/)for this review. https://readingnook84.wordpress.com/2...

Absolutely loved Serendipity. Nathan is off-the-charts sexy and downright lovable. His fixation with Julia's boobs is hilarious, such a boy! I loved the interaction with all the family and friends, was wonderful. Janet Nissenson is a godess, I don't think I have ever read sexier, steamier scenes. And that's just the foreplay! I felt that he would have come out on top if he had somewhat helped with the cancellation of the wedding and not left it up to Cameron and her mother while he continued to pursue Julia. I felt a smidgeon of sympathy for Cameron, she hadn't really done anything wrong (besides the scene that involved Julia). Okay, I have to ask ... what was with the constant reference to designer labels? I felt I was sitting at a runway show throughout most of the book. I was not a fan of Lauren. I found her to be too brash, just didn't warm to her at all. Overall, a stunning read.

Julia and Nathan keep running into each other around town and from that first moment they feel that spark between them. When they run into each other again they give in to the attraction and share an evening of passion. The next morning is when Nathan decides to drop the bomb that he is committed to someone else and Julia's heart is broken. When she is fired from her job several months later she starts another job and runs into Nathan again who is one of her bosses. Knew that she was going to be trouble right then. Julia and Nathan are scorching hot together. Fire hose hot. I loved their circle of friends so much. I give Serendipity 5 hearts!

Serendipity is the first book in the Inevitable serie and if it's example of what will follow I'm not gonna be disappoined at all. It's easy to like a book but I find difficult to actually love one. It's easy to like a book but I find difficult to actually love one. In this case I totally fell in love with Nathan and Julia's story. I was hooked from the beginning. Every charachter, each one of them, good and bad, are very well developed. I even liked Cameron. I don't hate her but I do pity her. I came to understand her desperation and hate even if I don't do agree with the choices she made to cope with her sorrow. Nathan's reasons to keep staying with her and not to break the engagement off are a bit weak but it happens all the time that our guilt makes us do something against our will, something not always right. It's easy to say I'd have done that or this but sometimes it's hard to always be able to carry what's best out. And even if Nathan felt this strong attraction and connection to Julia from the start, even if insecure of his engagement to Cameron and even if he cheated on his fiancée with Julia, I understand why he cheated and why he didn't call it quits with Cameron. I don't like or forgive what he did but not all love stories have a smooth way ahead of them. Some situations are not ideal, some decisions are tough to made, some actions may be questionable, people will hurt, feelings will be crushed, hearts shattered but love is also messy, hurful, unfair. Nathan didn't try to find Julia again even if he wanted. He tried to stay true to his commitment after he failed once. He tried. He failed but in the end he really tried. It's just that you can't control your feelings, who you love. Then destiny happens and messes with your plans. Julia's intentions were to forget what happened in New York and her time with Nathan but fate brought them together again. I've always believed in destiny so I believe it's destiny for these two lovers to find each other when they less expected and wanted it. Cameron may be the scorned fiancée but Julia is the ditched lover. She is the other woman but these women don't have steel hearts to defend themselves with against heartaches. The same is worth for Cameron when she becomes the other woman. Julia and Cameron acted differently when at diverse moments they were in the same situation. Julia was the lucky one to be loved back so the story unfeld in an opposite manner for her. I just wanna say that Nathan is not an as ** ole, two-timing jerk as you may think, really! He happens to be a nice guy who was caught in a complicated situation. You don't have a crystal ball telling which is the the right thing to do. Anyway I was so enthralled with the story I didn't put it down until I finished it. And when I was approaching the final pages I kept dreading the moment there was nothing more to read. The chemistry was burning, the sex scorching and I felt sparks all the time. Someone could find a bit annoying the descriptions of Julia's outfits, to each his/her own, but I liked to know how she dressed since it fits the character, her work and her style and I add, her high fashion taste is exquisite even to me, a sweat pants and T-shirt girl. Nothing overly descriptive by the way. Then you have Anton and he is my next favorite character. Loooove him so much. And don't make me start on Tessa and Ian. If the author was able to make me start obsessing over a couple who makes an appearance together only once and without even speaking to each other, well, you know she must be that great!!!!! Fortunately their story is the next. In the end I'd recommend Serendipity? Absolutely so! Why no voting buttons? this is a fantastic hot read, the chemistry between the main characters is flammable. this story has a strong story line with great characters, full of romance and erotic scenes. the secondary characters also play important roles throughout the book. this book is very well written and the author has a talent of making all the scenes believable. this book is a stand alone which means no cliff hanger endings. https://www.facebook.com/obsessedbook... https://obsessedbookreviews.wordpress... this is a fantastic hot read, the chemistry between the main characters is flammable. this story has a strong story line with great characters, full of romance and erotic scenes. the secondary characters also play important roles throughout the book. this book is very well written and the author has a talent of making all the scenes believable. this book is a stand alone which means no cliff hanger endings. https://www.facebook.com/obsessedbook... https://obsessedbookreviews.wordpress...

I really love this author. This series of stand alone novels are some of the best I have read in a long time. The only reason I haven't 5 starred these fabulous connected stories is that there is too much sex as filler scenes. The books are very hot reads but the sex and the sex talk is very repetitive

Woo Hoo, what an awesome book. Let me start by saying how wonderful it is to read a full blown novel with my HEA all in one book. A rare find these days. Julia and Nathan are our H/h and they have this moment in Manhattan,NY, with the eye contact-chemistry from Hell, and on two occasions neither will act on it…The third time they meet in passing on the street, they both take the time to introduce themselves to each other, (First Name Only) and spend a hot night hooked up in the hotel together. Woo Hoo and I am talking HOT!!!! First thing in the morning, Nathan confesses that he enjoyed their passionate night together, but he had a fiancee waiting for him at home, and left poor Julia crying her heart out. (This is when I started hating Nathan) Julia has had enough of NY and decides to return to California so that she will be near her family, and begins a new job as an Interior Decorator with a prestigious Architecture Firm, (having no idea that Nathan was a partner with the Firm). When Nathan runs into new decorator everyone is talking about (Julia) he is astounded and immediately wants to know how she found him. (This is when I hated Nathan even more) Well the roller coaster ride begins and I am talking about the ride from hell. Woo Hoo. Nathan is crazy jealous, the fiancee suspects he has a thing for Julia, and eventually Nathan takes Julia against the wall in her office, and then poor Julia goes home and cries. (This is when I started hating Julia.) Once Julia gives Nathan an ultimatum and starts dating other men, Nathan realizes that he cannot stand the thought of her being with anyone else and breaks his engagement. Well let’s just say that this is not your typical fiancee and then we are in for yet another ride from Hell. (This is when I turned into a Julia/Nathan fan club member) This book is so hot, I am surprised that my Kindle Fire was not smoking. While sex scene get a little monotonous, I promise you these don’t. It is some hot, not too too kinky but nonetheless fulfilling loving going on. I loved reading about Julia’s Designer Clothes, (her closet was to die for) and both Nathan’s and Julia’s family. Ms. Nissenson left me wondering if she could/would possibly write more books about this family, because I am dying to know what happens in Julia’s identical twins life. Buy this book if you like details, great character development, and a HEA all in one novel. for more reviews visit welovekink(dot)com reviewed by Geri

Serendipity is a must read romance with a completely "real" feel to it. The storyline was slow and it gave me the opportunity to get to know the 2 main characters, to love them in the process. It felt like a movie without any deleted scenes. It felt like I had the entire story in front of me, without missing anything. Janet Nissenson is an amazing writer. Serendipity is simply one of my TOP favorite books of all time! It’s simply AMAZING and highly RECOMMENDED!!

Shocked and hurt, Julia vows to never let this happen again. Nate found it hard to leave her, but he already felt guilty that he was unfaithful to his significant other. I know what you're thinking. How can a one night stand mean so much?! This is one of the best one night stand books I have ever read. No seriously, it is. I felt the attraction the moment they laid eyes on each other. Their connection is simply undeniable. Not only is this story hot and steamy at times, but it's sensual, romantic, and truly heart felt. Months later, Nate and Julia are forced back into each other's lives due to work. While Nate remains faithful to his fiancee, Cameron, both he and Julia fight their feelings daily as the attraction between them is more than ever. I loved Nate and Julia. While circumstances kept them apart, their feelings never went away. Despite Nate's horrid fiancee, he sticks by her knowing it is wrong to lust after another woman. Does he give in? This is why you need to read the book. It does not disappoint. Those who are wary about lies or cheating, don't. The story is handled well. I absolutely love the writing style of this book. The author has a true talent for storytelling. I found it hard to put this book down. The writing is flawless in that it gives a lot of detail. I didn't read the story, I experienced it. Every emotion, all the angst, everything. I felt it. I haven't been this excited about a book in a long time. There is no cliffhanger. Although long, I wish the book was even longer. Julia and Nate was able to illicit every feeling known to man. I became that attached and connected to these characters and their story. Love is powerful. When two people belong together and they think the world is keeping them apart when it has actually brought them together. That is love. If you are looking for a sensual, erotic, romantic, passionate story about fate and love, then Serendipity is a MUST read. I cannot wait to read more of this author's work.

They can't stop thinking about each other and finally on Nathan's last night, he makes all the right moves. Unfortunately, the next morning, he makes all the wrong ones. They both go on living their lives, Nathan's being a bit better than Julia's. Julia's had some experiences she would rather forget about and decides to make a fresh start back home in California, specifically San Francisco. She gets hired on at a design firm co-run by a friend of her mentors. Everything is going great until she meets the other partner....you guessed it, Nathan. Nathan doesn't want her there until he hears what she's been through and then he simply cannot turn her away. They agree to keep things just between them and keep things professional. And oh yea, to add a little twist - Nathan has a fiancé. Naturally, his fiancé is the wicked witch...I really wish the author didn't make her so hateful but I understand the reason why. Poor thing, no one likes her but she's pretty oblivious and Nathan just goes along with things. In actuality, he's really trying to do the right thing. I kind of like all the drama and tension that went on between Nathan and Julia during the time apart but the only reason why was because we get a respite from all the sex! Yes, you heard me right...there is a ton of sex in this book. Don't get me wrong, I love a good romp like everyone else but every single sex scene is basically the same...super intense and super magical with exploding rainbow orgasms for everyone! But I guess it would be that way if you are built like Jessica Rabbit and you're having sex with Super{cock}man. Okay, I'm getting carried away but you get the picture. The other problem I had was the constant brand name dropping. Julia's aunt is a buyer for a well known fashion house and she spoils her with tons of samples. I just got tired of hearing about her D&G this and her Prada that...and a whole bunch of other names that us lowly regular people have never heard of much less can afford. The drama is good...but predictable and over the top. Again, the author just make the fiancé so unlikable. I just cringed every time she came up. Thankfully, things work out and the ending is really sweet. The next book is a novella for the two of them. All You Need Is Love and the following books are a couple of friends of theirs and Julia's twin sister, Lauren.
