I wanted the total college experience. I wanted stories to giggle over with my roommates. I was tired of being the dutiful daughter and granddaughter. Tired of being Dustin’s girlfriend. I wanted to live. Then I met sexy Lucas. That first night with him was a mistake. So was the second, the third... And what about Dustin?

I am so angry....I have this huge TBR pile and I wasted my entire day on this book. It was so not worth it. I just can't read this book anymore. I am at page number 80 and I am fed up with all the drama. My main problem with the book is the female protagonist Irelyn. She is a selfish, stupid and a big-fat liar. She doesn't think about anyone other than herself. And yet, everyone seems to love her. When you don't like the main character, it is really hard to like the book. I still tried! *sigh* In short, the plot is that, Irelyn cheats on her boyfriend(Dustin) then feels guilty and then cheats on him again. And she does this for almost the entire book (Atleast, for as long as I could bear to read it). Lucas is the guy she's cheating with. He is supposed to be a one-night stand but she can't control herself around him. (Really?) She doesn't even have proper conversation with Lucas. Granted, he is hot with a sexy Australian accent but cheating is never cool and it makes me sad that books like this are trying to justify it. At one point, when she thinks that she might be pregnant with Lucas's child, she is ready to lie to her boyfriend and tell him that the baby is his. The book and the characters were really getting on my nerves so I decided to not read it any further. What surprises me is that the book has such a high rating. It even has a sequel. *breaks down and cries* Maybe, something is wrong with me.(I knew this day would come!) I liked thoughtless, so I assumed I would like this book too.(If you haven't guessed, I didn't) P.S. I don't like giving bad reviews. But I really didn't like this book.

All I could think throughout the entire book was, "Another chapter? Are you kidding me?" This book is about a girl named Irelyn (like Ireland, minus the D) who has a one night stand with Lucas, the lead singer of some band named Wet Dung or something like that. After doing the dirty, Irelyn bails, forgeting her phone in her hurry to escape Lucas's house. Then, OF COURSE, she just HAS to retrieve it prompting her to bump uglies with Lucas yet again. Over the course of the entire book, Irelyn does this repeatedly, even friggin' SEEKING HIM OUT. At which point, I began to skip over sections that had obvious prompts for her sexual desperation. SOO BORING! Did I mention she has a boyfriend? Yeah, Dustin the Dick. He damn near cracked her skull open because he pushed her down a friggin flight of stairs. But no, she goes and APOLOGIZES for her "behavior." True, Irelyn cheated NUMEROUS times with Lucas but he shoved her down a set of stairs! I think personal injury greatly outweighs emotional injury. And, with an ego as big as Dustin's he probably didn't een feel the blow. The plot in this book was not at all that complex. Basically: ---Girl who likes boy from wrong side of the tracks. ---Pompous boyfriend and stiff-collared grandparents disagree. ---Girl gives up "sweet life" for "bad boy" THE FRIGGIN END. But NOOOOOOOOOOOOO Ms. Paul who is supposedly a 'splendid' author had to waste 23 chapters on something that was just summed up in 3 sentences. Lord Help Us.

I can guarantee you will love this novel Just the same! http://samsawesomness.blogspot.com/ Goodie Two-Shoes, Irelyn thought her life was as simple as can be. Why shouldn't she be grateful and happy? Her grandparents are loaded with money, which makes it no issue to attend an outstanding College. She's in a relationship she believes is respectable and approving among her family. What is difficult, is trying to be the perfect grandchild, and keeping up the facade and promises that she makes to never turn out and follow her mothers footsteps. My thoughts: Irelyn's mom is very understanding and such an outgoing person. Its sad to see her parents disapprove of her lifestyle. To be honest, I think the stick up their asses have reached a deep capacity, it cant go up any further. There's nothing wrong with a mother wanting to live a little, especially during her teens years. So she was a groupie and got knocked up at 17, at least she lived up to her responsibilities, without her parents. Although it takes Irelyn a while to realize her mother is her idol and she loves her to pieces, it all happens in such a manner it's breath taking. I love the whole mother/daughter relationship in this novel. They both come to an understanding what one does when they finally meet that special someone person love. "Love then and never let go, no matter who gets in the way". Irelyn has a quick hot steamy one-night stand with a very Sexy Hot Lead Singer named Lucas. It's not something she normally does, but just a few words between the two and the sparks start flying! Whew! *wipes off forehead, fanning self* One lesson Irelyn will learn is " Never leave anything important behind when having a one-night stand". Oh she's been screwed from that day forward. Lol!!! When she goes searching for Lucas to retrieve her phone back, things heat up, in a very good way *grins*. When Irelyn is stunned that Lucas remembers her name and he lays down this quote I almost passed out,and I fell head over heals for him! " Of course I did, love.I always remember the names I moan out in pleasure." Purrrr....Omg!!!! *swoons* Have you ever had that feeling in your lower belly that means you're excited and your heart starts to beat faster? THAT'S HOW I FELT!!!! I wanna Aussie just like him! Oh yeah did I forget to mention Lucas is Half-American/ Australian? I love him! My hubs has competition I total have a boy crush. *squeals* He's my prince charming. Ok! I'm gonna stop gushing now. Lolz! What led from a every week Friday night harmless shagging arrangement between Irelyn and Lucas, was a beyond fun! Until........Irelyn realizes she's falling in love, she has to break it to her perfect boyfriend of a few years she can no longer be with him because she has feelings for someone else, which is The Hot Aussie himself Lucas!!! *gets a grip* Things don't turn out as planned, this story has a massive twists of events, let me just say her high and mighty grandfather makes her life and changing experiences very difficult. I think it's time to push that stick further up his ass. I'm sorry but being rich and snobby and thinking you have control over someones life, it's just not acceptable. I loathe that man! Who I do love, are the friends Irelyn makes, Bailey and Morgan, they're the kind of friends that are they for you no matter what. They are such awesome chicks! And this includes Lucas' brother Collin and his cousin Spencer, they're just as charming and sweet as Lucas. And last but not least. Mina, Irelyn's mother, she's so supportive throughout this novel. I LOVE HER! This book is amazing, from the beginning till the end.I loved this novel just as much as I loved the novel "Beautiful Disaster by Jaime McGuire" Downright, spectacular novels! Now I'm onto novel 2 of this series "Vicious Circles" I can't wait any longer,*squeals*

I really wanted to slap her and spineless Lucas walk-all-over-me Newton. While most of the book pretty much is about her having an affair with Lucas , on the sly, which, By the way , isnt exciting at all. they meet , screw, he leaves her at her dorm.that happens in about 80 percent of the book. the sex scenes are too academically done. But i guess, YA books entail that. The plot line was dull and most of the scenes were redundant , just when you think it cant get worse, the author adds the icing to the cake, with the Evil grandpa bit. Just terrible...terrible writing, sappy rehashed plotline, dumb and infuriating characters. I wouldnt recommend this to anybody.

All The Wrong Reasons is a basically a story made up of love, lust, tough choices, and most of all, PILLOW TALK. Anyone who has read S.C. Stephens books Thoughtless & Effortless & enjoyed the up & down roller-coaster ride of drama, lust, and love will find themselves sucked into All The Wrong Reasons immediately. I'll control myself not to rant... First of all, I hate this kind of story. When does unfaithfulness become an 'in thing'? Second of all, Idiots!! Most of the characters with the exception of the mother and little Tommy are idiots. We call unfaithful men bastards. Why can't we call unfaithful women bitch? Instead we call this kind of story a romance.. I don't get it. Irelyn is one of the worst heroine I've ever encountered. She is mopey, cowardly, and well...a selfish idiot. To just take without respecting others? If it is, I mourn modern society. Love is not a carte-blanche excuse to hurt others. There is so many evil things in this world, You den't need to add stupidity into the mix and call it love.

I bought this book for my Kindle when I saw it compared to Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire. I adored that book and was excited to try something along the same lines. This didn't quite live up to my expectations but was still an enjoyable read. I really liked the overall plot of the book. Plus, she can't stop hooking up with band guy, Lucas. I love when characters make bad decisions and ultimately come out on top. I also loved Lucas and his bandmates/family. I read this book super fast to find out how everything was going to turn out, it was hard to put down. All that being said there were a few things that kept me from rating it higher than I did. There was a recurring theme of Irelyn blushing, like all the time. It started to feel contrived. Please keep in mind that I love a well-placed red-cheeked gal. It can add so much to a scene when put in the right place AND used sparingly. My last issue was that in a book like this that promises some angst and sex...I kind of missed the sex :) There was all the build up and then...*play music* cut to landscape shot out of the window. I'm no perv, but I want to know what these people are doing with (to) each other *waggles eyebrows* I would say that if you like books in this genre that you should go ahead and read it. It was definitely still worth it for me and I'll be reading the second book in this series soon too. I could see room for improvement but was overall satisfied with the story.

I didn't like the book..that's obvious, but why..ok here it goes First I couldn't believe the love story, lust ok but love...come on! I didn't believe that a guy she hardly knew who slept with her on a whim without even exchanging basic information would stay that devoted to her n not make out with other girls! The scenes dragged and dragged and repeated and repeated and you get the idea...I cheated on my boyfriend...I have to go and call it off with my fling....ops I cheated on my boyfriend again.....! Ok so the guy who you have been with for 2 years, who stood up beside you when you were lonely and didn't act like his snobish peers, letting you feel protected and loved, who was patient, caring, trying to spend time with you, make love to you and etc... doesn't know you or understand you and suddenly turn into grandpa's pawn, calling you names n insulting your mother. Please author why oh why did you have to end it like this. This so much weakens the story. In thoughtless which is obviously the one to take the idea from, the boyfriend was sooooo good till the end which gave credibility to the struggle of the heroine's feelings. And the other guy what's his name???Oh right Lucas, the magnificent Luke or whatever..He kept calling her Love and saying the same sentence over and over something like you want me, you came to me to get it or something like that. He was totaly ok with her cheating on her boyfriend with him even talking to them when he met them. I got zero vibes from this guy...really :( And then he's like pissed she hides him then not call her for a day then says he wanted to call her...what's this???zero character again zero vibe. And the mother...OKKKAAAY..where's the character or the lack of??Where is the ANYTHING about the mother???She just filled pages but we can totaly do without her if she disappears and the story would be the same. Definitly not reading the sequel about her friend..Read thoughtless if you haven't and you'll understand why this is a poor imitation even if you have your point against thoughtless

I'm actually upset that I spent any time reading this book. Wow. I think I should have taken it as a sign within the first few pages the number of times I rolled my eyes. I really loved this book but I had to dock a half star and go with 4 1/2 just simply because the heroine tended to get on my nerves! She was so wishy washy. Oh, and can I just say that Lucas was AMAZING, and frankly the most understanding and patient man that I have ever known!! Holy crap! Other than that simple complaint I really loved the story. Since when did infedelity become a book trend? Honestly, it says it in the title of the book and the synopsis. Like, you could tell already that there was going to be cheating. The book had me on a rollercoaster. How?I will elaborate. At one point I liked the book, then i hated it, then I like it again, then I hated it, then I thought... It was ok. First that name, I don't even know how to prounounce it. Second, I honestly thought Irelyn was a good wholesome girl, but no. If you don't know what a hoe is go on this this link: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define... My hoe radar was tingling and it was right. Irelyn was a hoe. Now don't get me wrong cheating the first time doesn't make you a hoe in my book, it means you have the potential of being a hoe. But, mutiple times and you still go back to your 1st man. NO NO NO NO NO NO NO. You a hoe, and I'm a poet. But seriously how do you do someone you don't even know? I'm all for spontaniety but damn, hasn't she heard of HERPES, HEPATITUS, HIV. I was praying for her to get pregnant. My hoe radar was seriously going off for this book. But, I did like her character, couldn't help it. I went from "she's a hoe" to "she's a hoe, but I like her", to "no she's a hoe and I hate her" back to "she's a hoe but I like her". She was getting to indecisive for my liking, when she knew her choice the whole time. She was seriously dumb, like how do you make a plan then switch up on us readers at the last minute. I prayed for a pregnancy. Okay Lucas, the side man, I liked his character up to a certain point. He was dumb, and blinded by love. When he tried to tell Irelyn that she WASN'T a hoe, you knew, you just knew he was blinded by love or evol, same thing really. He honestly, just could've said "You a hoe, but I still love you, hoe". Dustin, her boyfriend, he was the man. I liked him but he was too ugh, preppy and obsessed for my liking. He had his moments that angered me to. When he referred to Lucas as the help , it was on like King Kong in jungle book number two. There was this one part where I was crying on the inside for him. Let's just say he went sky diving without a parachute, I couldn't even read that part. It was sad. Dustin was such a good boyfriend. When he called Irelyn's mom a hoe, omg, he was right. Just kidding it was funny. The twist in this book was good. The grandpa, omg I rate him. He goes hard. He had some nerve, the way he executed his plan, he was the puppitier of the whole book. But, he was evil. Like pure evil. Still rate him. Okay the only character that made sense was Morgan, Irelyn's roomate/friend. Because she stil had some morals and suggested for Irelyn to break up with one of the boys. So, there was this one point when Lucas and Dustin fight, no surprise. Then Irelyn had the audacity to try to stop it. When two young males with raging anger are fighing don't come in or you WILL get hurt, like it happened to Kiera in Thoughtless by SC Stephens, so it will happen to you too. The number one rule is to let them fight unless, you are a super trained specialist or twice the size of Honey Boo Boo's mom, so you could sit on them. Otherwise, let them fight. In books girls always feel the need to stop boys from fighting. Like, let their knuckle head selves figure it out. And if they die, they didn't love you enough to get some sense. So it wouldn't have worked out anyways. Overall the book was okay, It could've been better. I probably won't be reading the second one. But yeah I'm still praying for a pregnancy.

3.5 Stars This was a really nice story, but was a bit "unpolished", therefore the 3.5 rating. The story wasn't a terribly unique one, but the characterization was good and gave it what it needed to shine. I'm not going to spend too much time on the review. Nothing to "gush" about. I thought it was a bit raw in places for that, although the target audience is probably college age adults. It has good secondaries; Bailey, Spencer, Collin, Tory, etc... The boys, Lucas, Spencer and Collin have a small band playing at an off campus nightspot. This is how they meet the girls, Irelyn, Bailey, et. al. Irelyn already has a boyfriend, but can't resist Luke. She also has a controlling grandfather who creates additional issues. Like I said, rather predictable, but you can't help liking the story. Irelyn wears on the nerves a bit. She can be rather Narcissistic, but you have to love Lucas. I wouldn't call him Alpha, but I would call him confident and wise beyond his years. I only read this story because it is the prequel to a GR highly recommended book for me based on previous books I've read, and I can be rather anal about reading books in order, unless others tell me it is not required to enjoy the story. So, I read this one, and am glad I did. I'm definitely in a YA mood and reading this book now satisfied this yearning. I am going to dive right into the sequel Vicious Circle; Bailey's story. If you read this review and think this story sounds interesting, give it a try. I think you'll enjoy it like I did. Happy Reading!

This was not my style of writing at all. I'm confused about how many good reviews this book has - I wish I hadn't bothered to finish it, but I was just waiting for it to get good! In fact, if a girl really had sex with you before she'd even bothered having a proper conversation with you, you'd think she was a trollop and have no respect for her at all. Even if you managed to overcome that, you would not consider entering a relationship with someone who is such an easy lay. There would be no trust. Lucas had no morals whatsoever and was pretty pathetic from start to finish. But above all, the story was irresponsible to the point I'm surprised the author managed to get it published. Believe me, I'm no prude, but casual teenage sex...with strangers who don't even know if you're legal yet, cheating and not being able to remember if you used a condom or not... I DON'T GET WHY THAT MAKES A GOOD 'ROMANCE'! I've obviously missed the point here so I'm just going to swiftly move on now and avoid this author in future.

There are stories about cheating…and then there is this. while I do not support cheating, there have been some books that are just so good, they touch your heart. In fact I dint even get beyond the 2nd time she had sex with lucas (who is some hot guy she met in a band and about whom she knows nothing except his name). and of course after Lucas so calmly said hes not bothered she has a boyfriend! I am sorry I ever picked up this book. The characters are shallow, self-centered, stupid and just so childish! Needless to say I am never recomanding it to anyone! After reading books like Thoughtless, which in itself is a unique and beautiful story, this book was a major dissapointment.

I was so excited to start this one. I saved it for a night where I knew I would have no interruption. Well that was a wasted night for me. This book had not one redeemable characters. Irelyn, the heroine, just meets Lucas at this club where she goes to with her roommates. Lucas is the lead singer of band that is playing at the club that night. She catches his eye, he says "hi" and they have sex within minutes of that meeting. I think the whole meeting was written in two pages. Irelyn continues t I was so excited to start this one. Irelyn, the heroine, just meets Lucas at this club where she goes to with her roommates. Lucas is the lead singer of band that is playing at the club that night. She catches his eye, he says "hi" and they have sex within minutes of that meeting. I think the whole meeting was written in two pages. Irelyn continues this fling with him even though she has a boyfriend. People compared this to THOUGHTLESS??? No, in THOUGHTLESS we felt the connection. I felt no connection between Irelyn and Lucas. What did Lucas see in Irelyn??? This book was just all over the place. Irelyn is not likable at all. Lucas is supposed to be this hot lead singer...I never felt that at all. Irelyn went to a country club with her family every weekend, but I always felt she was a bit white trash. And then the whole pregnancy thing and how she was going to handle that. Let me just say, I did not like Irelyn at all. Disappointing. This is my opinion and I hate giving bad reviews, but this was...well enough said.

So, after reading the most amazeballs series in the world, Thoughtless and Effortless, I wanted another "girl in love with a rocker series". And the subplot with the special needs cousin was just a bit too much.

In the end it all comes down to choosing between her own happiness or her families expectations/respectability/and self-image. Irelyn has dated Dustin, Mr. Prim and Proper, for almost 2 years. They do the expected family dinner at the country club with her grandparents every Saturday night. Both are in their first year of college and all seems well. Until Irelyn's new roommates and bff's introduce her to a club where she meets Lucas, the lead singer of the band. He will prove to tempt her beyond her wildest imaginations and tip her world upside down. For Lucas he has met the girl of his dreams. As for Dustin, he has no clue he has any competition or that anything is even wrong in his perfect world with Irelyn. It's easy for Dustin to be clueless as he attends school in another city but same state while she attends school 20 minutes from home. In this story Irelyn will bark upon her own self discovery of the likes she's never experienced before. She will make new friends, deal with confused feelings, learn that secrets are never good to keep from those who can help you, she'll learn what's truly important and what matters most to her, learn what's right and what's wrong, and how to find the love and happiness she so hopes for. I actually liked this story a lot more than I thought I would. Based on reviews, I was sure I wouldn't like the heroine very much. And while I do not condone cheating, I could see how what started out as a fling turned into love and was totally rooting for them. I thought it was a very realistic story. I actually found her less annoying and selfish than Kiera in Thoughtless and that is one of my favorite series. You can't help who you fall in love with. Should she have broken up with her BF first, sure but life isn't always fair and you don't always make the best choices. Now she is stuck to make a very difficult decision, should she choose the path that is known to her, easier or should she throw it all away for true love? Spoiler!!! Like I said, it was very realistic story, the way they fell in love, wasn't rushed at all. You can see and feel how their love slowly grew. It was really sweet and holy hell is Lucas perfect!! I mean the kid is a saint! Her decision at the end was great. I liked how she didn't magically come across a lot of money and her and her cousins school was saved yada yada yada. She had to switch schools, work , change her life around etc but at least she was happy with the person she truly loved.

I liked this book very much. The only thing that I didn't was the triangle which is like the triangle in accidentally on purpose(a.k.a. the triangle where the girl has feelings for both guys, one of them knows that she is cheating the other and she can't choose and when she does she changes her mind). But I couldn't hate All the wrong reasons.I still can't and I wanted to read it when I couldn't.I am glad I read it after all the time it had been on my to read shelf.

Ok first things first... where is a real life version of Lucas and how do I find him? Holy hell. Talk about swoon-I'm a pile of goo-worthy, egads. On top of it, he might also be the most patient man on earth. Geeze... I don't think any dude would put up with that type of "arrangement" for very long, especially when it's so obvious that real feelings have developed. In fact, that's probably what took this book down a notch, simply because he was so patient and so wonderful and so dreamy-sounding Ok first things first... where is a real life version of Lucas and how do I find him? I don't think any dude would put up with that type of "arrangement" for very long, especially when it's so obvious that real feelings have developed. In fact, that's probably what took this book down a notch, simply because he was so patient and so wonderful and so dreamy-sounding that it was almost too much of a fairy tale. So this story starts off much like all the others in this catergory. Irelyn (and I actually like her name - it suits her and it's fun, especially spoken in an aussie accent, and even though it's rather made up, like it is in most of these kinds of books, the leading lady always has some super original exotic type name, but for whatever reason Irelyn doesn't sound utterly ridiculous to me and I like it) has a wonderful supposedly 'perfect' boyfriend already, Dustin. She cheats on him with Lucas, when her and Lucas share this completely out of nowhere one night stand. From there it all sort of falls to pieces. However, unlike most of these types of stories, the leading lady didn't totally annoy me. And the guy she was falling far wasn't a complete bad-ass either. Sure, he was in a band, but he seemed actually stable, sensible, level headed, and down right awesome. It was refreshing to read, actually, because a lot of the leading men in these sorts of stories are always so tragically flawed and off key in one or way or the other. So it was nice that Lucas was actually normal. He held a steady job at a construction site, he played in his band on weekends, he was kind, and a good listener, etc. Who wouldn't fall for Lucas? So for once, we're seeing the good girl actually fall for the good guy. The drama starts because the good guy (Lucas) isn't actually deemed suitable and worthy enough according to Irelyn's incredibly wealthy and incredibly pretentious and short sighted grandparents, especially her grandfather, who just so happen to be paying for her luxurious education. So there's drama and that's really where trouble brews. Compared to most of these books in this category, it's a nice change to see that the drama is family related and not so much baggage between the two love interests. I also liked the Gilmore Girls take on it too. I thought the Grandparents, and especially Grandfather, to be a little far fetched... but I could also be wrong. Perhaps when you have money and clout and come from "good stock", these sorts of "levels" of where you stand in society and how other people see you are really important. And perhaps, it's so important, that people can use their power to be manipulating. I don't know. One thing's for sure though, Grandfather was an ass. The one thing that irked me was the two timing scenario thing was dragged out much, much longer than necessary. Nearer towards the middle I was yelling "JUST BREAK UP WITH YOUR JERK OF A BOYFRIEND ALREADY" because it was clear - right from the get go - that Irelyn didn't have real feelings for Dustin. And it quickly became blatantly obvious that Lucas was crazy about Irelyn, and she was crazy about him. So that frustrated me, a lot, actually. I just wanted her to break up with Dustin so that her and Lucas could be together. And Dustin wasn't even cool. He was mean, insensitive, and totally ignorant of Irelyn's thoughts and feelings. I don't understand why Irelyn would feel badly about breaking up with him. Other than the fact that her grandfather approved of Dustin, I really just didn't get the big deal. DUMP HIM. MOVE ON. Stop being insecure and fearful and take charge. My other issue was after everything happens, Irelyn sort of shuts everyone out... and the shutting out and dealing with it by herself takes far too long. This was annoying because she had a huge, wonderful and loving support system. Her mom was cool - still very "mom like" but also a friend - and they shared a good rapport. And Irelyn's two gal pals, Bailey and Morgan, we're awesome. I wish I had friends like that! Even Lucas was incredibly understanding and forgiving (once he was told everything)... Heck, even Lucas' bandmates were sweet as pie... And I just sort of felt that she could've easily told someone what the deal was. Gone to them for help - especially her mother. Her mother of all people would've been understanding and helpful, especially since she had lived through a similiar controlling situation when she was young! It just made no sense to me why Irelyn decided to deal with it on her own. But I guess that's what makes up drama that sucks you in. So overall, a highly enjoyable story. I couldn't put it down and I practically read it one sitting. And, having read so many of these similiar stories lately, it was a refreshing take. It wasn't so angst-driven, and incredibly laced with deep seeded drama with one far fetched thing happening after the other. It actually seemed like it could happen. And LUCAS... gee golly... be still my beating heart. :)

Let me just say that after reading Thoughtless by S.C. Stephens I’m now officially on the hunt for amazing books like it. And I would say that this book is like déjà vu as if I’m reading Thoughtless all over again, but with a different characters and different scenario. But I can’t help but compare the two. Stephens I’m now officially on the hunt for amazing books like it. And I would say that this book is like déjà vu as if I’m reading Thoughtless all over again, but with a different characters and different scenario. But I can’t help but compare the two. So here is the similarities and differences of each one and which one I liked best: Legend: A for All the Wrong Reasons and T for Thoughtless Male Character : Both are musicians…sexy and hot (musicians with their own rock group) Lucas(A) V.S. Kellan Kyle(T). Hands Down KELLAN KYLE!!! Although Lucas is hot as well….gotta love the Aussie guys! Well, both was tormented seeing the girl they love with their boyfriends. But I guess Kellan was under worst situation as compared with Lucas. Another both play in a bar….that the girls frequently goes to. Female Character: Both are taken (with perfect and boring boyfriends) Irelyn (A) V.S. Kiera(T). I would say what I liked about Irelyn is though she is with Dustin she’s not confused of her feelings with Lucas and after doing the deed with Lucas she didn’t have sex with Dustin anymore, well that accounts for something right? While Kiera, stayed with Denny (living under the same roof with Kellan)!!! And they even had sex (under Kellan’s roof again)….sheesh! The Winner: Kiera though Irelyn was close. But I have to hate both of them for hurting the boys (not their boyfriends of course, don’t care about them…well a lil bit for Denny ☺)....bad bad bad!!! The Other Guy: Both are way too perfect and boring Dustin(A) V.S. Denny(T). Well Dustin, I hated the way he treated Irelyn when the secret was out what a complete asshole. For Denny, hey he’s Aussie same with Lucas though he didn’t get the girl. The Winner: Denny of course no doubt about it. His anger was excusable and he was not an asshole as Dustin was. (Both of their names start in D….hahaha and both are boring names….i think) The Friends: The bandmates (A) Group of 3: there’s the quiet one, the sexy one and the funny one (T) Group of 4: there’s the quiet one, the sexy one, the funny and obnoxious one and the so-so one. Both have brothers in it….though I liked the guys in Thoughtless more. The Story Irelyn has a perfect boyfriend, though not so perfect family life and lives off of her grandfathers wealth…then meets the sexy Lucas and had a one night stand…which was followed by another and then another…you know what I mean. Kiera has a perfect boyfriend, a perfect life (her family is actually way better than Irelyn) until she meets and lives with Kellan and all hell breaks lose. Hands down THOUGHTLESS!!! Though Thoughtless concentrated more on the love triangle between Denny/Kiera/Kellan. All the Wrong Reasons has love problems and family problems entangled with each other. The Climax or should I say when the secret came out: Both involves hospitalization (of the female character) while the boys are fighting it out and punching (between the other guy and the boyrfriend) both are epic in their own proportions! Hehehe!!! THOUGHTLESS has better climax btw. The Ending: (A) It was resolved in the first book of course they live happily ever after (the second book is another story on Irelyn’s friend and Lucas’ brother (co-bandmate). (T) They resolved their problems and lived happily ever after….NOT! The second book is still about them and how they would keep their relationship intact with Kellan away on tour. Hands down THOUGHTLESS!!! So I guess that would make Thoughtless the obvious winner right. Well yeah, obviously nothing beats Thoughtless in my opinion. But in fairness to this book, I still liked it. Coz though they have similarities All the Wrong Reasons also talks about family pressure and how it affects with the decision Irelyn has to make in order to be or not to be with Lucas. It also deals with mother and daughter relationship, how Irelyn and her mother dealt with her grandfather. I guess in terms of losses Irelyn lost so much more as compared to Kiera and she has to give up a lot in order to be with Lucas and not only that because of Irelyn’s decision her mother and cousin (who lives with them) was affected by it. So the verdict? If you liked Thoughtless you’ll like this one, not as amazing as Thoughtless but close enough….

All the Wrong Reasons is fast paced and effortlessly sucks you into the story. Irelyn's life resembled that of a caged animal; as she constantly tries to live up to the expectations of her prestige Grandparents. As she stands on the brink of adulthood; this young girl should be living and experiencing life, but it is apparently obvious that under watchful eyes she must scrutinize her every action. As Irelyn embarks on her first year in college she finds herself enjoying the freedom and friendship, but when she willingly walks into arms of one HOT lead singer in a local band she begins to question where her future is heading and just who and what makes her happy. This is an incredible story about self discovery, betrayal, and love that refuses to release you even after the last page. I never thought it possible to hold my breath through an entire book, but All the Wrong Reasons proves it. Be prepared for the rolling coaster of emotions as this story unfolds. **Stop here to avoid spoilers** Some details that I would like to point out about this book are included here. I didn't want to include them with the first part of the review for fear of ruining the story for other readers. First off, I love the way this author makes the main character appear as the villain for much of this book. With two loving and wonderful guys chasing her it is easy to sympathize with her current situation, but it is also possible to lay blame where it is due as she leaves a trail of unresolved issues along the way. She knowingly opens her arms to this disaster, although I don't quite blame her; but this open the door for the avalanche that will follow. Lucas perceives himself as the "bad guy" of the story, but at no point was I capable of viewing him as such. It is obvious from the start that this was never an affair or a fling. Readers will endure her rollercoaster relationship, but silently find themselves in love with one. Some characters true colors remain hidden for a majority of the story, but in the climax of the story true identities emerge unfold the deeper meaning in the story. As everything begins falling apart readers will find themselves furious with the situation and at the reality of the choices proving just how unfair life can really be. This story is not only a romance, but a realistic display of finding yourself and being true to yourself. I loved every second to this story, and recommend it to everyone. If you are desperate to read something you can feel this is the book for you.

I loved the heroine aspect of who she was in this book and I wish Lucas would have been more rockstar hero-like than he was. It was still a good book. I had a great admiration of Irelyn's devotion to her family and the lengths she went through to protect them and make sure they were taken care of. If it weren't for the anger I had toward Irelyn's grandfather and her boyfriend, I would have loved it that much more. If you loved Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire, you will love this book!

Irelyn tried to please her grandparents because they were paying her tuition and at the same time she was being untrue to herself. Her mother made mistakes and her grandparents never let her forget that but she LOVES her mom but doesn't know what to do. Lucas, I personally believe was her guardian angel, and by that he brought the real her out and made her happy. He gave her enough confidence to finally tell her grandpa where to go in the end even though it made life tougher on her, her mom and her cousin. Overall I really enjoyed this book and in the end "the bad guy" won.

"All The Wrong Reasons" wasn't the perfect novel (for me) but it had something that could dig me out of Diablo 3. This book made me think of "Thoughtless" since the plot was so similar. Still, I was kind of like "Thoughtless" a lot more. When I started reading "All The Wrong Reasons," I kept wondering that how love that began with an affair could last long. It was strange enough because Luke and Irelyn could make it work!!! I liked the story but I still didn't like the way two main characters' thinking. It was because for me it was not okay to cheat and it was not okay to make an excuse to see each other again and again after that. However if this kind of story had that kind of moral, we couldn't find the fun in it. So I better warn you ... if you don't like this kind of story, you shouldn't read "All The Wrong Reasons." I gave 3 stars for this book. However I don't want to read "Vicious Circles" right away. It's because in my opinion the story-line is the same so I'll wait a few months before start reading it.

Couldn't finish this book! Irelyn has a boyfriend acceptable to her family but ends up sleeping with a boy in a band when she goes out to a club. She strings both guys along because she's too selfish to cut either of them loose. Her grandfather (who pays for her college and her younger cousin's private school) tells her she needs to dump the band boy (who she loves) or else he'll stop paying for both schools. Of course Irelyn is torn - I guess the college she goes to is the only one that will work for her out of all the colleges in the U.S. and of course she can't get a job and pay her own way. She would never tell her mother what was going on, that would make too much sense! Once I got to that point in the book I coudln't stand it anymore and had to quit reading it. I hate characters like Irelyn - I don't know if the author is trying to generate sympathy, like Irelyn is stuck and doesn't have any choices? To me she's just incredibly selfish and stupid and not worth my time when there are so many other better books out there!!!
