I love cooking and am always looking for new cookbooks to give me more inspiration. And I LOVE my pressure cooker. I use it at least once a week, if not more often, and have felt my tried and true recipes are getting old. I needed new ideas so was thrilled to try this cookbook out. The recipes are easy to follow, well written, and I didn't notice grammatical or mechanics errors. For nearly every recipe, the ingredients were things that are simple to find (even in these tough times of COVID shortages) or items I already had on hand in my home. And the few I have tried so far have been great. The kids have eaten them (2 of my 3 are extremely picky eaters, so finding things they like is near impossible most nights) and my husband has plenty of leftovers for work the next day. The only downfalls that I saw with this cookbook.... - The intro says there are 800 recipes in the collection, but some are simple things like making hardboiled eggs, which I do not consider a "recipe" in any way. Others are repeated. I saw a few recipes that were in multiple sections of the book. The recipes are all numbered (so number 800 is Caramel-Walnut Brownies), so I didn't have to sit and count the recipes to determine how many there were, but with the repeats, there are not 800. - Being a Kindle edition, there were no pictures included. So much of what we do in today's world is visually based. I find it inspiring to see what the final outcome should look like. I realize that there is no way to include a picture for EVERY recipe, but I do appreciate having some visual appeal to cookbooks for inspiration, guidance, and to break up the overall white space on each page. I have seen other Kindle books where there are images included, but am not sure how much it adds to the overall file size and if that was the reason images were left out, or if they simply were not taken. - Creator credits - I did not see any indication of who created the recipes. I always assume the author of the book who compiled it was the person who created the recipes, but there is not indication in this collection as to whether the author created them or simply compiled a group of favorite recipes that were then converted to insta-pot recipes. - Nutritional information was not included. Being one who is trying to be more health conscious and who has a teenager who is learning how to cook healthy meals for himself as he prepares for life on his own soon, we go over the nutritional information in most recipes. I would have liked to have known the calories, carbs, etc. per portion. It tells you how many servings the recipe gives you, but nothing more. I would appreciate seeing full nutritional values so that I can better determine what to make for my family or where I might feel it best to substitute something else. There are plenty of apps that can give you full nutrional information if you input your recipe, so though it might have taken a little more work from the author, it would have made for a much more informative, beneficial cookbook overall. But overall this is a nice collection of recipes that can be used with any pressure cooker. Though it is written specifically for Insta-pot users, I have had no problem figuring out how to use them with my off brand pressure cooker and have found success. Definitely a good starting point for someone new to pressure cooking. I would have given this a 5 star rating had there been just a little more information.

There are so many recipes that it’s going to take me years to try them all. I can’t wait. Early on in the book, the author reminds you to forget about being a perfect cook and to experiment and have fun. Even before I got into exploring the recipes, that line put me in the right frame of mind to choose a dish and try it out. Everything is so easy to read and the Instant Pot-specific instructions make this one superior to cookbooks with recipes I have to adapt. I think a few of these dishes are going to be crowd favorites when I start cooking for friends and extended family again, and I’m really excited about that. This is a fantastic addition to my cookbook shelf and I am so glad I have it!

No Pictures! I read this book with Kindle Unlimited. While there are many recipes in this book, there are no pictures. How am I to know what it's supposed to look like when it's done? I would do better looking for Instant Pot recipes on YouTube.

No index While this book has a gazillion recipes, there is no index in the back, and the Table of Contents is so many pages that it's hard to find the section you want. A+ for content and clarity of instructions, C- for ease of use.

Interesting cookbook He has a lot of good recipes, and some interesting ones with (to me) unusual food combinations. The book is also more upscale than other IP cookbooks I have, using ingredients I’ve never heard of. The Kindle version has a number of typos and occasional missing text in the recipe directions. Recipe number 265 for Chicken Cordon Bleu even omits the main ingredient (chicken) from its list of ingredients. Recipe number 265 for Chicken Cordon Bleu even omits the main ingredient (chicken) from its list of ingredients. The only reason I knew it was missing was because it was in the title and the directions said to add it. But it wasn’t listed in the ingredients, so I wouldn’t have had it on hand. Another one... recipe 634 for Traditional Southern Chili has celery in it. As a born and reared Southerner nearing the ripe old age of 70 who loves chili, let me tell you that I’ve never added celery to my Traditional Southern Chili. Another goodie - recipe 665 for Chicken Noodle Dip has no noodles in it. Curious. Which brings me to my final point. Some of the recipes’ directions are confusing for new and possibly even intermediate cooks. There were a few recipes I wouldn’t even attempt based on the instructions. I don’t know if he left out steps or just threw them in as he thought of them, but they were confusing. And as I mentioned, I was looking at the Kindle version. Maybe the print version is accurate. As I said in my first statement, he does have a lot of good recipes so if you are an intermediate or better cook, go for it. You’ll have a great meal.

Disappointing! Many of the recipes do not have complete direction. For example, the recipe with fresh plums does not say if the plums are peeled or not. There are a lot of egg recipes. One recipe includes a sauce with several ingredients, but fails today how to make it. Not for beginners!

Good There are lots of recipes in this book. There is a big variety and covers beef, chicken, pork, lamb, vegetables and desserts. We are not adventurous eaters so if I choose one of these, I'll have to amend it through trial and error. I think this book is a good bargain. Good luck and happy reading.

I just bought an Instant Pot a few days ago, so this cookbook will definitely come in handy. I've already found several recipes that I want to try. I did try one of the whole chicken recipes and it turned out good. Lots of recipes, but not much info on how to use the Instant Pot, so if you're just looking for recipes, this is a good place to start.

Take a hard pass on this one. There are a handful of good recipes in here, which is a small fraction of the 800 in the book. It strongly appears that the recipes were taken from various sources due to the wildly varying formatting. Sometimes the recipe calls it an IP. Sometimes it calls it a pressure cooker. The same steps will be worded differently between recipes.

Good Recipes Overall If you can overlook the spelling and grammatical errors, as well as some recipe inconsistencies, then this is a very good cookbook. The recipes range from basic to advanced (in my opinion). Some unfamiliar ingredients, but overall a nice cookbook.
